Accomplishments

Fugitivo - Champion of Champions
Photo: Living Images by Carol Walker
Bred by Yeguada Andic and selected by Juan Matute for the American market, he had a brief but successful career in Spain as a two year old. From the moment Shelly Lucero Rigisich imported Fugitivo XII to California in 2005, he created a shockwave. Barely off the plane, he traveled to Santa Barbara to the Foundation of the Pure Spanish Horse Celebration Show and won Champion of Champion honors as a 3 year old.

By the time he was five, he was in the dressage court winning national awards at Training and First Level. In 2007 he returned to Celebration in Las Vegas and again was selected as the Champion of Champions of the show and was selected by the ANCCE TRC as Calificado…the most prestigious of awards for a PRE breeding stallion. Between 2007 and 2010 he was in dressage training at Villa Rosa Dressage in Hollister, CA. WATCHMAN PRE Horses purchased him in 2010 and again chose the Celebration Show in Las Vegas to debut Fugitivo XII.

After a 3 year hiatus, he again showed his magnificent ability by becoming the USDF Grand Champion Sport Horse, the high point FEI Horse and the winner of the $5000 Free Style Challenge.

He will continue his training as a FEI dressage horse in 2011 as well as broaden his horizons as a breeding stallion. In 2011 he will stand internationally at Aquila PRE Horses in Australia and with Enchanted Horses in Costa Rica, Mexico and South America via frozen semen.
